Acceptable Use Policy

Version 1.0  ·  Effective August 2026  ·  GeoScript, Inc.

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out the rules governing how you may use the GeoScript platform, JavaScript tracking Script, APIs, dashboards, reports, and all related services (collectively, the "Services"). This AUP applies to all customers, authorized users, agency customers, affiliates, and anyone else who accesses the Services (collectively, "you").

This AUP is incorporated into and forms part of the GeoScript Terms of Service. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given to them in the Terms of Service. Violation of this AUP may result in immediate suspension or termination of your access to the Services without refund.

GeoScript reserves the right to investigate suspected violations and to cooperate with law enforcement authorities in connection with any investigation of illegal activity involving the Services.

1. Script Installation and Use

The GeoScript JavaScript Script collects AI search behavior signals from websites where it is installed. The following rules govern Script installation:

Authorization required

You must own, operate, or have explicit written authorization from the website owner to install the Script on any website. Installing the Script on a website you do not own or are not authorized to monitor is prohibited and constitutes unauthorized access to computer systems under applicable law (including the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act, 18 U.S.C. § 1030).

Accurate registration

Websites registered in your GeoScript account must be websites you have authority to monitor. Adding competitor websites, websites belonging to unrelated third parties, or websites you do not manage as part of your service delivery is prohibited.

No modification of Script

You must not modify, reverse engineer, decompile, deobfuscate, or attempt to extract the source code of the Script. The Script must be loaded from GeoScript's authorized CDN endpoint without alteration.

No expanded collection

You must not configure, modify, or combine the Script with other tools to collect data beyond what GeoScript's Script is designed to collect. The Script collects AI search signals only — it is not a general-purpose analytics tool.

Privacy notice obligation

You are responsible for updating the privacy notice on each website where the Script is installed to disclose its presence and data collection activities, as required by applicable law. This includes GDPR Article 13 disclosures for EU visitors and CCPA disclosures for California visitors.

2. Platform, Dashboard, and API Use

The following are prohibited when accessing the GeoScript platform, dashboard, or any API endpoints:

No automated scraping or extraction

You must not use bots, scrapers, crawlers, or any automated means to extract data from the GeoScript dashboard, reports, or API beyond your authorized usage limits. API usage is subject to documented rate limits; circumventing those limits is prohibited.

No reverse engineering of the platform

You must not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or derive source code, algorithms, models, dataset structures, or benchmark methodologies from the Services, the platform, or any GeoScript output.

No security circumvention

You must not attempt to bypass, disable, exploit, or defeat any security control, access restriction, rate limiter, honeypot, CAPTCHA, authentication mechanism, or data protection feature of the Services. Any suspected vulnerability must be reported to hello@geoscript.ai and not exploited.

No unauthorized access

You must not attempt to access any GeoScript account, system, or data that you are not expressly authorized to access. Sharing account credentials to circumvent per-seat licensing is prohibited.

No denial-of-service attacks

You must not conduct or facilitate any denial-of-service (DoS) or distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack against the Services or any infrastructure supporting the Services.

No harmful code

You must not upload, transmit, or introduce any virus, malware, trojan, ransomware, worm, spyware, or other harmful code into the Services.

3. Data and Output Use

GeoScript generates reports, visibility scores, citation data, engine breakdowns, and optimization recommendations (collectively, "Outputs"). The following rules govern how Outputs may and may not be used:

No resale of raw data

You must not sell, license, sublicense, or distribute raw Signal Data, raw report data, or bulk API output to any third party. Sharing insights derived from Outputs with your own clients as part of your service delivery is permitted. Selling the data itself as a data product is not.

No competitive intelligence products

You must not use the Services, data, or Outputs to build, train, or improve any product or service that competes with GeoScript, including AI search visibility monitoring tools, AI citation tracking tools, or AI search behavior datasets.

No fabrication or misrepresentation

You must not alter, falsify, or misrepresent GeoScript Outputs when sharing them with clients, prospects, regulators, or any other party. You must not present GeoScript data in a way that creates a materially misleading impression about a business's actual AI search performance.

No guarantee claims

You must not make guarantees, warranties, or performance commitments to your clients about AI search outcomes (citations, rankings, traffic, or visibility scores) attributable to the Services. You may describe what the Services measure and provide — not what results they will produce.

No attribution removal

Where GeoScript branding, copyright notices, or attribution language appears in reports or outputs, you must not remove or obscure them without GeoScript's prior written consent.

4. Legal Compliance

Your use of the Services must comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and third-party rights. The following categories of use are prohibited:

No unlawful surveillance or data collection

You must not use the Services to conduct unlawful surveillance, covert data collection, or monitoring of individuals without their knowledge or consent, in violation of applicable wiretapping, computer fraud, or privacy laws.

No violation of third-party rights

You must not use the Services to infringe any third-party intellectual property rights, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, or trade secrets. You must not add to GeoScript any business name, content, or data that infringes on a third party's rights.

No harassment or harm

You must not use the Services to harass, threaten, defame, or harm any individual or organization.

No export law violations

You must not use the Services in any jurisdiction subject to U.S. trade sanctions or embargo (including Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, and the Crimea, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions), or access the Services if you are on any U.S. government restricted-party list (including OFAC SDN list or Commerce Department Entity List).

No fraudulent or deceptive use

You must not use the Services to facilitate fraud, identity theft, phishing, or any deceptive or misleading business practice. You must not create false or fictitious business identities in the platform.

No facilitation of illegal activity

You must not use the Services to facilitate, promote, or enable any illegal activity, including but not limited to: drug distribution, human trafficking, illegal weapons distribution, financial fraud, or money laundering.

5. Account Conduct

Accurate account information

You must maintain accurate and current information in your GeoScript account. Providing false registration information, using fictitious business names, or impersonating another person or organization is prohibited.

One account per entity

You must not create multiple GeoScript accounts for the same business entity to circumvent usage limits, feature restrictions, billing, or suspension. Creating accounts under different email addresses or business names to bypass these restrictions is prohibited.

No credential sharing

Account credentials are for the named authorized user only. You must not share login credentials to circumvent per-seat licensing. Each authorized user must have their own account credentials.

Agency customer responsibility

Agency customers are responsible for ensuring that their own clients' use of GeoScript-generated reports, insights, and data complies with this AUP. Violation of this AUP by any party using Services under your account is treated as a violation by you.

6. GeoScript's Enforcement Rights

GeoScript monitors the Services for AUP violations and reserves the right to take any of the following actions in response to a suspected or confirmed violation:

  • Warning: issue a written notice requiring the violation to cease within a specified timeframe.
  • Suspension: temporarily suspend access to the Services, with or without prior notice, where continued access poses an immediate security or legal risk or where the violation is ongoing.
  • Termination: immediately terminate the Agreement and all access to the Services, without refund, for serious, repeated, or intentional violations.
  • Rate limiting or feature restriction: restrict or throttle specific features, API access, or data exports in response to abuse.
  • Legal action: pursue civil remedies and/or refer matters to law enforcement where violations involve criminal activity, unauthorized computer access, or significant harm to GeoScript or third parties.

GeoScript's enforcement decisions are made at its sole discretion. GeoScript is not obligated to provide notice before acting in cases where immediate action is required to protect the security, integrity, or availability of the Services.

7. Reporting Violations

If you become aware of any violation of this AUP — including unauthorized use of the Script, security vulnerabilities, or misuse of GeoScript data — report it promptly to:

GeoScript, Inc.
Abuse and Security Reports
hello@geoscript.ai
Subject line: "AUP Violation Report" or "Security Vulnerability Report"

GeoScript will acknowledge receipt of security vulnerability reports within 2 business days and handle them in confidence. We do not pursue legal action against parties who report vulnerabilities in good faith in accordance with this policy.

8. Updates to This Policy

GeoScript may update this AUP at any time with at least 30 days' notice to customers via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Services after the effective date of an updated AUP constitutes acceptance. If you disagree with a material change, you may cancel your subscription before the effective date.
