What is an AI prompt planner?

An AI prompt planner helps you choose questions to investigate in services such as ChatGPT or Perplexity. This tool combines your business category, market, and up to four services with a small set of versioned question templates. It gives you a repeatable starting point for reviewing recommendations and their supporting sources.

These are suggested questions, not evidence that people search for them or that an AI engine recommends your business. Edit the wording to match real customer conversations before using a plan.

Find discovery questions.

“Who offers roof repair in Austin?” asks for providers without supplying a name. Use these questions to investigate whether your business is included and which alternatives appear.

Separate brand checks.

“What services does Acme Roofing offer?” tests information about a business already named in the question. It cannot show whether that business would have been recommended independently.

Keep the evidence.

The CSV includes space for your engine, check date, business mentions, and source notes. No answers are filled in automatically.

Questions about the planner

Does this run prompts against AI engines?

No. It creates question suggestions locally in your browser. Running a question in another service is a separate step, subject to that service's limits and terms.

Can I use this for an agency client?

Yes. Enter one client and market at a time. Keep branded questions separate from discovery questions and explain that the plan is a research starting point, not a visibility report.

What if I serve several locations?

Build a separate plan for each market so you can compare the same question across locations. Leave the market blank for questions without a location.

Are my details saved?

This tool does not submit your inputs to a server or save a plan to an account. Copying a plan link places those details in the URL fragment. Anyone you share it with can read them.

Limits: one business type, up to four unique services, optional market and business name. Planner method v1.0, no paid AI requests. Review a website page or check crawler permissions next.
