1. Who can join
The program is open to affiliates, creators and influencers, agency partners and independent sales representatives who are approved by GeoScript. You must be at least 18, able to enter a binding agreement, and able to complete Stripe’s identity and tax checks for a payout account.
You are an independent party, not an employee or agent of GeoScript. You may not make commitments, offer discounts or change pricing on GeoScript’s behalf.
2. Commission
You earn 25% of collected net revenue from each customer you refer, for 12 months from that customer’s first collected payment. Cancelling and later resubscribing does not restart the 12 months.
Collected net revenue means money GeoScript actually receives, after excluding:
- sales tax, VAT and similar taxes;
- refunds and chargebacks;
- credits, discounts and other non-cash amounts.
What counts as eligible revenue:
- Agency Pro subscriptions ($49/month);
- Business Workspace subscriptions ($399/month);
- agency client workspaces billed to the referred agency;
- opportunity unlock packs (one-time purchases) bought by the referred customer.
Agency Free accounts never earn commission, because they pay nothing. Clicks, signups, demos and trials do not earn commission on their own — only collected payments do. There is no commission for recruiting other partners.
3. Attribution
A referral is credited to you when a new customer creates a GeoScript account within 90 days of using your referral link or entering your referral code.
- Clicking your link sets a first-party referral cookie in the visitor's browser for 90 days, so the referral still counts if they browse the site before signing up. If they clear cookies or sign up on a different device, they can enter your referral code instead.
- An explicit referral code takes precedence over an earlier link click.
- Attribution is fixed when the account is created and only applies to a new account. Existing accounts cannot be re-attributed.
- Self-referral is prohibited: you cannot earn commission on your own account, an account you control, or an account of your own business.
If you believe a referral was misattributed, raise it from the partner portal or email partners@geoscript.ai within 60 days of the account being created.
4. When commission is earned: pending, approved, paid
Every commission moves through three states, which you can see in the partner portal:
- Pending. Created when a referred customer’s payment is collected. It stays pending for 60 days after the payment date so that early refunds and disputes can be caught before any money moves.
- Approved. After 60 days, the commission becomes approved and is added to your payable balance.
- Paid. Approved balances are paid in the next monthly payout batch, as described below.
Commission is earned only when GeoScript is paid. A failed or unpaid invoice creates no commission.
5. Payouts
- How: through a Stripe Connect Express account you set up from the partner portal. Stripe holds your bank details; GeoScript never sees them.
- When: once a month, in a single batch covering all approved commission.
- Minimum: $50. If your approved balance is below $50, it carries forward to the next month. Nothing expires.
- Currency: US dollars only.
- Where: payout accounts in the United States are supported first. Other countries will be added only where Stripe Connect supports payouts to that country and GeoScript has enabled it.
- Identity and tax checks: Stripe will ask for identity verification (KYC), your legal name, address, date of birth and tax ID (for US partners, SSN or EIN). Payouts are held until Stripe marks your account as able to receive them.
- Arrival: after GeoScript sends a payout, Stripe standard payouts to US bank accounts usually arrive in about 2 business days; a first payout to a new Stripe account can take longer (Stripe cites 7–14 days).
6. Refunds
If GeoScript refunds a referred customer, in full or in part, the commission on that payment is reduced by the same proportion. A 50% refund removes 50% of the commission on that payment.
Adjustments are cumulative: if a payment is refunded more than once, the total reduction never exceeds the commission originally earned on it, and nothing is deducted twice.
Stripe does not return its processing fees when a payment is refunded. GeoScript absorbs those fees; they are not charged to you.
7. Chargebacks and disputes
A dispute (chargeback) happens when a cardholder asks their bank to reverse a payment. Under card network rules, as described by Stripe:
- cardholders can typically dispute a card payment for up to 120 days after it was made, and some networks and payment methods allow longer (up to 180 days);
- when a dispute opens, Stripe immediately debits the disputed amount plus a non-refundable dispute fee from GeoScript;
- GeoScript usually has 7–21 days to submit evidence, and the bank then takes roughly 60–75 days (up to about 3 months) to decide.
How this affects your commission:
- When a payment is disputed, the commission on it is reversed in proportion to the disputed amount.
- If GeoScript wins the dispute and the funds are returned, the commission is restored.
- If the dispute is lost or accepted, the reversal stands.
- Dispute fees are absorbed by GeoScript and are not charged to you.
8. Adjustments after payout
Because disputes can arrive up to 120 days (sometimes longer) after a payment, a refund or dispute can land after the related commission has already been paid to you. In that case GeoScript does not ask you to send money back. Instead, the adjustment is recorded as a negative line in your ledger and nets against your future commission until it is covered.
Every adjustment stays visible in the partner portal with the payment it relates to. If the program ends or your participation is terminated for fraud or a breach of these terms, GeoScript may ask you to repay an uncovered negative balance.
9. Taxes
You are responsible for taxes on the commission you receive. For US partners, commission is reported on Form 1099-NEC when you are paid $600 or more in a calendar year (or the current IRS threshold). Forms are delivered through Stripe Express; you can view and download them from your Stripe Express dashboard.
Keep your tax details current in Stripe. Payouts can be paused if the tax information Stripe requires is missing or cannot be verified.
10. How you promote GeoScript
- Clearly disclose that you earn commission (for example, “I earn a commission if you subscribe”).
- Make truthful claims based on your own experience. Never promise rankings, AI citations, clients or income.
- No spam, hidden or forced clicks, cookie stuffing, impersonating GeoScript, or bidding on GeoScript brand terms in paid search.
- Do not offer unauthorised discounts or cash back, and do not create accounts on a customer’s behalf.
11. Termination
You or GeoScript may end your participation at any time with written notice. After a normal termination, commission already earned on payments collected before the termination date continues through the pending period and is paid under these terms if it meets the $50 minimum; no new commission accrues.
If GeoScript finds fraud, self-referral or a serious breach of these terms, it may end your participation immediately, cancel unpaid commission connected to the breach, and recover commission already paid on those referrals.
12. Changes to these terms
GeoScript may update these terms. Material changes (such as rate, term length, hold period or payout minimum) will be announced in the partner portal or by email at least 30 days before they take effect, and apply only to referrals attributed after the effective date. Referrals already attributed keep the terms in place when they were attributed.
