DMCA Policy
Effective date: August 18, 2026 · Version 1.0
1. Overview
GeoScript, Inc. ("GeoScript," "we," "us," or "our") respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users of our Services to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 ("DMCA"), 17 U.S.C. § 512, GeoScript will respond expeditiously to claims of copyright infringement that are reported to GeoScript's designated copyright agent in the manner described below.
This policy applies to content hosted on or transmitted through GeoScript's website at geoscript.ai and the GeoScript platform (collectively, the "Site"). It does not apply to the Signal Data GeoScript collects via the tracking script, which is data GeoScript owns and controls independently of any user submission.
2. Reporting Copyright Infringement (Notice)
If a copyright owner or an agent authorized to act on behalf of a copyright owner believes that material hosted on or accessible through the Site infringes their copyrighted work, the owner or agent may submit a written DMCA Notice of Alleged Infringement to GeoScript's designated copyright agent. To be effective under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), the Notice must include all of the following:
- 1.A physical or electronic signature of the person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
- 2.Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or, if multiple copyrighted works at a single online site are covered by a single notification, a representative list of such works at that site.
- 3.Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity and that is to be removed or access to which is to be disabled, and information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate the material. Providing a URL is the most efficient way to help us locate the material.
- 4.Information reasonably sufficient to permit us to contact the complaining party, such as an address, telephone number, and email address.
- 5.A statement that the complaining party has a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- 6.A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that the complaining party is authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
3. Designated Copyright Agent
Deliver the completed Notice to GeoScript's designated copyright agent by email or mail:
GeoScript Copyright Agent
GeoScript, Inc.
Attn: DMCA / Copyright Agent
Austin, TX
Email: legal@geoscript.ai
Subject line: "DMCA Notice — [Description of Work]"
Note: The DMCA agent email address above is designated solely for DMCA notices. Other inquiries sent to this address may not receive a response. For general support, contact hello@geoscript.ai.
4. Counter-Notice
If material you submitted to the Site was removed or disabled due to a DMCA Notice and you believe the removal was in error or the result of misidentification, you may submit a written Counter-Notice to GeoScript's copyright agent under 17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(3). To be effective, the Counter-Notice must include:
- 1.Your physical or electronic signature.
- 2.Identification of the material that has been removed or to which access has been disabled and the location at which the material appeared before it was removed or access to it was disabled.
- 3.A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification of the material to be removed or disabled.
- 4.Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located, or if your address is outside the United States, for any judicial district in which GeoScript may be found, and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original DMCA Notice or an agent of such person.
Upon receipt of a valid Counter-Notice, GeoScript will provide a copy to the original complainant and, absent a court order restraining the restoration, will restore the removed material or cease disabling access to it within ten (10) to fourteen (14) business days following receipt of the Counter-Notice.
5. Repeat Infringer Policy
GeoScript maintains a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances and at GeoScript's sole discretion, the accounts of users who are deemed to be repeat infringers. A user may be deemed a repeat infringer if GeoScript has received more than one valid DMCA Notice identifying content submitted by that user, or if GeoScript otherwise determines, in its discretion, that a user has engaged in a pattern of infringing activity. Account termination for repeat infringement does not entitle the user to any refund of fees paid.
6. Misrepresentation Warning
Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material or activity is infringing, or that material or activity was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, may be subject to liability for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees incurred by the alleged infringer, the copyright owner, or their licensee. GeoScript reserves the right to seek damages and fees from parties who submit abusive or bad-faith DMCA notices or counter-notices.
7. Scope and Limitations
This DMCA Policy covers only copyright infringement claims. It does not cover trademark infringement, defamation, privacy violations, or other legal claims. For trademark inquiries, contact legal@geoscript.ai. This policy does not apply to Signal Data collected by the GeoScript tracking script, which is governed by GeoScript's Terms of Service and Data Policy.
8. Changes to This Policy
GeoScript reserves the right to modify this DMCA Policy at any time. Material changes will be announced by updating the "Effective date" at the top of this page. Continued use of the Site following any such change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
