What Reports does
Reports are GeoScript's client-facing summaries of what happened during a period. Each report is an immutable snapshot — once published, the numbers are frozen. A report covers a defined period, summarizes AI visibility observations, deployments applied, and measured outcomes, and is accessible via a shareable stable-token URL. Agencies can share a report link with their client without exposing any agency data or internal platform details.
How it works
Immutable snapshots
When a report is published, GeoScript takes a snapshot of the period's data and freezes it. Database-enforced immutability triggers prevent the snapshot from being altered after publication. This means a report shared with a client six months ago still shows exactly what it showed then — the numbers have not been retroactively adjusted. Immutability is a trust property: the report is a factual record, not a living document.
Four-section narrative
Each report is structured into four sections: visibility summary (AI observation data for the period), deployments (what changes were applied), outcomes (before/after measurement), and period context. The narrative is built by a pure function from the snapshot data — it does not access live data after publication. Empty states are handled honestly: if a section has no data, the report says so rather than hiding the gap.
Shareable stable-token URL
Published reports are accessible via a URL that includes a share token. The token grants public access to the report page without requiring a GeoScript login. The agency's internal agency_id is never sent to the browser — the public report page is designed so that a client cannot reverse-engineer which agency is serving them through GeoScript.
Agency console and published-only list
The agency console surfaces a list of published reports with a hasMore pagination indicator. Only PUBLISHED reports appear in the client-facing list — drafts are not accessible from the public report surface.
Current evidence depth
Reports are PARTIAL because the underlying monitoring data comes from 3 live engine integrations (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity) with 3 more in development. Reports will gain depth as Gemini, Google AI Overview, and Copilot observations come online. The report reflects what was actually observed — it does not backfill missing engine data.
What Reports does not do
Clear boundaries increase trust. These limitations are documented explicitly, not buried in footnotes.
Reports do not rewrite history — snapshots are immutable and frozen at publication.
GeoScript does not guarantee that a report will show positive outcomes — it reports what was measured, including flat or negative changes.
Reports do not include search engine ranking data, paid advertising performance, or social media metrics.
The stable-token URL is not a permanent guarantee — if an agency revokes a report, the URL returns a 404.
Reports do not update after publication — a published report reflects the data at the time of snapshot.
Evidence depth is currently limited to 3 live AI engine integrations.
